Kevin J. Wetmore, Jr. Ph.D., is an associate professor of theatre at Loyola Marymount University, where he is also the resident stage combat choreographer. He recently choreographed fights for the Frank Sinatra Workshop performance of The Pirates of Penzance, and the violence for LMU’s productions of The Balcony and The Mystery Plays in the Spring of 2009. In addition to being an associate instructor for DAI, Kevin is an advanced actor/combatant in the Society of American Fight Directors who has choreographed over a hundred plays and films. He also works as an actor, a director and a stand up comedian, appearing in such films as Night of the Templar and Valley of Angels. Kevin has also written numerous articles on international stage violence for The Fight Master and is the author of five books on theatre and film and the editor of another five. He lives and works in Los Angeles.
