Kris Kuss is a director, actor, educator, and fight director based in Meridian, MS. He serves as the Director of Theatre and Assistant Professor at the University of West Alabama in Livingston, AL. He holds a BA in Theatre from the University of Mobile and an MFA in Directing from the University of Southern Mississippi. At UWA he teaches a wide variety of acting courses, including Shakespeare, stage combat, and stage dialects, as well as courses in theatre history and directing. He also teaches acting classes at Meridian Community College.
His directing credits include: The Tempest, Taking Steps, Down the Road, A Bright Room Called Day, Eurydice, Exit the King, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He has had the pleasure of performing at Hope Summer Repertory Theatre in Holland, MI, and Southern Arena Theatre in Hattiesburg, MS. His acting credits include: Moritz (Spring Awakening), Richard Greatham (Hay Fever), Mr. Gilmer (To Kill a Mockingbird), Stanley Stubbers (One Man, Two Guvnors), Septimus (Arcadia), Vincent (The 13th of Paris), Oberon (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), and Vladimir (Waiting for Godot).
