President, Associate Instructor
Kris Kuss is a director, fight director, actor, stage combat instructor, and educator based in Edmond, OK. He has been working with Dueling Arts International since 2014, and is a recognized Full Instructor and certified Advanced Theatrical Combatant. He is a Visiting Professor of Voice and Acting at Oklahoma City University, and holds an MFA in Directing from University of Southern Mississippi and a BA in Theatre from University of Mobile. He is currently training with Theatrical Intimacy Education. He has worked with Oklahoma Shakespeare, Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, 3rd Act Theatre Co, Hope Summer Repertory Theatre, Emerald Coast Theatre Company, and Southern Arena Theatre. Some favorite directing credits include The Tempest, Romeo & Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The 39 Steps, Medusa Undone, Women of Lockerbie, Decision Height, A Bright Room Called Day, and Eurydice. Some favorite fight directing credits include Romeo & Juliet, Macbeth, She Kills Monsters, Blood Wedding, Newsies, and Il Combattimento di Tandcredi e Clorinda.
