Tony Pisculli is a Master Instructor with Dueling Arts International. He has been teaching stage combat and choreographing fights for over 20 years and has worked with every major theatre on Oahu. He has choreographed over 100 productions, including opera, short film, TV, burlesque and interactive theatre.
He is also the Producer and co-founder of the Hawaii Shakespeare Festival, which presents three full-length plays each season and completed the canon in its first twelve seasons. He has won multiple Po‘okela Awards for Excellence in directing and fight choreography. His notable productions include the Henry VI Trilogy (all three plays in one evening), the Original Staging Practices Rep (Lear, Shrew and Much Ado from side scripts), the Commedia Rep (including the insane, comedy mashup Dromio and Juliet), his invented language production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and the Chekhov mini-festival, featuring original translations of Seagull and Bear, and a new adaptation of Avenger.
