Associate Instructor Professional Development Workshop
May 19, 2025 to May 23, 2025
This workshop is a review of Best Practices for Level One Teacher Training Methodologies and serves as the Required Professional Development Workshop and Review for Associate Instructors. We will reexamine techniques and all methodologies for teaching Dueling Arts Level I (Beginners) Theatrical Combat in the following six discipline of: Unarmed Theatrical Combat, Broadsword, Rapier & Dagger, Single Rapier, Smallsword and Quarterstaff. The Workshop will take place on the campus of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, from Saturday May 17th to Wednesday May 21st. Daily Training will be from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily with some possible evening discussion sessions.
TRAVEL AND ACCOMODATIONS
All travel arrangements should accommodate these dates and, as the workshop location is just near Los Angeles International Airport, you should fly directly into LAX. Housing will not be provided but we can recommend relatively inexpensive hotels nearby and also introduce you to other workshop participants to share your housing expenses as requested.
TUITION
Workshop Fee for the Daily Training and Review is $500. A Non- Refundable Deposit of $125 is required by April 1, 2025 to hold your place with all other fees due by May 1st, 2025. Please note all participants may be asked to be Covid Vaccinated and Boosted as well as comply with any additional Covid Procedures the workshop may require.
